High-Speed Checkout Operations

The Oishia POS is designed for speed. You can add items to the cart using physical barcode scanners, searching by SKU, or using the visual touchscreen grid for fast-moving items.

Tutorial: Ringing Up a Customer

  1. Ensure the cursor is in the central "Search" bar.
  2. Use your physical USB/Bluetooth scanner to scan the product's barcode. The item will instantly appear in the right-hand cart panel.
  3. Scanning the same barcode multiple times will automatically increment the quantity (e.g., 2x, 3x).
  4. If a customer wants to pay, click the massive dark Pay button.
  5. Select the tender type (Cash, Credit Card, or Mobile QR).
  6. If they select Cash, the system will prompt the cashier for the amount tendered (e.g., $20) and display the exact change to hand back.
